I’m Grace Dunn.
I've been writing stories since I was 5 years old. First, I wrote them for myself. Then I wrote stories for my friends. And now I'm writing them for you. For us. Because the world needs more magic.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve always loved fantasy. Raised on movies like Willow, Labyrinth, and The Princess Bride, I don’t think there was any other choice. I wrote my own Hogwarts acceptance letter, then I wrote fanfiction with my friends. Once I got my hands on JRR Tolkien’s books at age 14, I was incurable. I began dreaming up worlds and filling them with stories. And I knew, without a doubt, that it was the only thing I wanted to do in life.
Years later, after an English Lit degree and a decade of working for tech startups, I’m back where I started: writing books in the genre I love. In 2023, I stepped away from full-time work to focus on my writing. These days, I run my own freelance business while I pursue my quest for publication.

When not writing, life is pretty nerdy here. I’m usually listening to audiobooks, solving jigsaw puzzles, or decorating my Stardew Valley farm. My husband and I collect tabletop board games and we’re undefeated escape room champions. If you catch me in the wild, I’m probably on a long walk around my neighborhood or haunting the local coffee shop.
